Hips - Home Information Packs

Welcome to our guide on Home Information Packs (HIPS) which is packed with useful information such as Do I need a HIP, Where can I buy a HIP and What is in a HIP Also why buying your HIP from and Estate Agent is probably the worse thing you can do (HINT: It could cost you more than just the HIP) and is it possible to Produce the HIP myself

The Home Information Pack regulations where first introduced on the 1st June 2007 for 4 bedroom properties and larger after a number of delays and changes to the original proposal. The objective of the Home Information Pack regulations was to speed up the selling process.
Still controversial, most sellers now require a HIP by law or face a fine of £200 for every occasion they are caught marketing their property without a HIP. This could result in a £200 fine for every day a property is on the market.
